Hi, I'm Omar!

This personal website hosts selected academic papers from my time as an undergraduate at Yale University (Aug '18 - May '22) & showcases some of my creative interests.

Although I majored in biomedical engineering, a significant subset of the work on this site is an output of exploratory courses I took in the fields of literature, philosophy, history, computer science, & cognitive science.

I was last employed as a post-graduate research associate at the Clinical Neuroscience Group for Neuroanalytics, and recently moved to Berlin to pursue a PhD in computational neuroscience.

My research with the Max Planck School of Cognition focuses on unravelling structural connectivity in the human brain using diffusion imaging & investigating the relationship between structure and function in the brain.

Other academic interests include the study of human consciousness, cortical representation of language, & artificial intelligence.
